Note: In January 1915 the Kalahari Horse was formed in the N.W. of Cape Province from the Kuruman Commando, under the leadership of Lieutenant-Colonel Jacobus Albertus van Zyl & Captain Frylinck. The Kalahari Horse contributed 6 Squadrons to Berange's Eastern Force & took part in the South African invasion of German South West Africa 1915
