Educated at Berkhamsted School, Castle Street, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire
Many Old Boys from Berkhamsted School who then worked in the City joined the Honourable Artillery Company
To France as 1039 L.CPL, 1/HAC 18/9/14
Commissioned from the Honourable Artillery Company into the 6th LIVERPOOL REGT 12/7/15
Served with 2/6th (Rifle) Battalion, Liverpool Regt as Signalling Officer & Intelligence Officer
Shortly before the Armistice he was evacuated sick 1/11/18
Post-was he lived in Lingfield, Surrey
In 1939 he was a Chartered Electrical Engineer living at 14 Dartford Road, Coldblow, Bexley, Kent
Then served as Captain in the Kent Home Guard in WW2
Died Bournemouth 1977
His Officers Papers exist at TNA but we have not checked them Ref: WO 374/32208
