Later promoted to T.SJT.
Note: Two subalterns also serving in 2nd R.Warwicks at this time were:
> Bernard Law Montgomery ('Monty' of El Alamein) who was wounded in October 1914.
> Bruce Bairnsfather (the WW1 cartoonist & creator of 'Old Bill') who watched the 'Warwicks v. Germans' 1914 Christmas Truce football match at St.Yvon, south of Ypres.
