Son of Henry Atwood Clark & Julia Marion Clark (née Featherstone) of Buckland Monachorum, South Devon
Educated at Christ's Hospital (Bluecoats School), Horsham, West Sussex
Was sub-editor of the Sheffield Daily Telegraph & then sub-editor of the Manchester Guardian
He joined the Public Schools & University Men's Force at the outbreak of the Great War
Commissioned Temporary 2nd Lieutenant, 11th Devonshire Regiment 22/12/14
To France in June 1916 & was attached 2/6th Gloucestershire Regiment -T.F.
KIA F&F 3/5/17
Buried in Chapelle British Cemetery, Holnon, France
Also commemorated on the Buckland Monachorum 1914-1918 War Memorial, Devon

Condition: With 'WA' Woolwich Arsenal stamp & old research label on reverse, GVF
