Educated at Cardiff High School
Pre-war he was serving his articles with a firm of land agents & surveyors in Frome, Somerset
Enlisted the Public Schools & University Men's Force, Royal Fusiliers after the outbreak of war
To France 14/11/15 as PS/6205 Private, Royal Fusiliers
Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant 5/8/16
Promoted Lieutenant 14th Welsh Regiment 5/8/16
Shot in the neck whilst leading his company during Second Battle of Bapaume and DOW F&F 25/8/18
Buried in Bagneux British Cemetery, Gezaincourt, France
His Officers Papers exist at TNA but we have not checked them; Ref: WO 339/58903
Note: Apparently his photo &/or death notices were published variously in The Western Mail (3/4/18, 30/8/18 & 6/9/18), in the South Wales Daily News (30/8/18 & 7/9/18) and in the South Wales Echo (7/9/18) but we have not checked these
