Less than 3 weeks later he was KIA F&F 27/3/16 during an attack on the German Trenches at St.Eloi, Ypres Salient
Buried in Railway Dugouts Burial Ground (Transport Farm), Ypres, Belgium
Note: This CWGC Cemetery is 2 km south of Ypres & 2km west of Zillebeke village. A railway runs on a nearby embankment & overlooks a small farmstead, which was known to the troops as Transport Farm, and was also screened by the slightly rising ground to the east. At least one Advanced Dressing Station was sited here & burials began in April 1915. The names 'Railway Dugouts' and 'Transport Farm' were both used for this cemetery
