GEORGE DOUGLAS PECHELL
Born Bangalore 24/4/1891
Son of Lt-Col Sir Augustus Alexander Brooke-Pechell, 7th Baronet (Surgeon, Army Medical Staff) & Matilda Marion Anderson Pechell
Educated at Malvern College
After leaving School he joined the Hants Battery, R.F.A. (T.F.)
Subsequently he went abroad & was engaged in coffee planting in South India
On the outbreak of war he was commissioned Second Lieutenant, Indian Army Reserve of Officers & attached 108th Infantry
Returned to the UK in March 1916 to take up flying & was attached 66th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps
Killed Whilst Flying when he lost control of his B.E.2d (Serial 6735) at 60 feet & side slipped at Filton, Bristol 21/12/16
Buried in Canford Cemetery, Bristol, Gloucestershire
