Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant, 6th The King's (Shropshire Light Infantry) 7/7/16
KIA on the Somme 3/10/16 at Mons Wood, near Carnoy - 'Killed by a shell on his first day in the trenches'
Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, France
