Then worked pre-war as a Planter on the Pendarmaran Estate, Klang, Selangor, Federated Malay States
Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, Oxf.& Bucks.Light Infantry 31/5/15
Transferred to the Scots Guards 4/3/16
To France 30/5/16 & served with 2nd SCOTS GUARDS
KIA on the SOMME 25/9/16
Buried in Carnoy Military Cemetery, France
Also commemorated in the Marlborough College Memorial Hall, Wiltshire
