Born Camberwell, London 1890, the son of Henry Thomas Brickwell (a Theatrical Manager) & Evelina Brickwell (nee Terry)
Note: His father & uncle were joint proprietors of Brickwell's Theatre (later The Victory) at Paisley, which opened in October 1890 - Click here
By 1911 he had followed in his father's footsteps as a Cinema 'Picture Theatre' Manager
Enlisted in the Royal West Kent Regt, September 1914
Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Fusiliers 26/3/15
Attached 1st Northamptonshire Regiment & served at Gallipoli prior to 28/12/15
Invalided back to Blighty & admitted to Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital at Millbank, London 3/1/16
Later attached Suffolk Regiment
Discharged & awarded the Silver War Badge 11/12/16
Post-war he continued his career in Theatre Management
Died Paddington, London 16/11/52
