Admitted to Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital at Millbank with I.C.T. foot & transferred to Royal Free 12/9/17 (dates unclear)
Later Acting Captain, 6th Highland Light Infantry
In 1939 he was a poultry farmer at with 60,000 birds at Bury Farm, Chesham, Bucks
Commanded Chesham Company, Home Guard, during WW2
His son - also Andrew McDougall Melville & a poultry farmer - was KIA 27/2/41 as an RAFVR Sergeant-Pilot & Navigator (740941)
Stood as a Labour councillor candidate in March 1946
Died Chesham, Buckinghamshire 22/12/69
