Served on the Western Front with 9th West Riding Regiment

Suffered a Gun Shot Wound in his left shoulder & was admitted to 51st Field Ambulance 25/4/17

Note: In April 1917 the 9th West Riding Regiment fought in the Battle of Arras as part of 17th (Northern) Division & many of their casualties were treated by 51st Field Ambulance

Later transferred to the Northumberland Fusiliers (97118) before he was demobilised

Note the uncommon '11-' prefix
