Born Burnley, Lancashire circa 1882
Lived in Burnley & worked at Barden Pit, Reedley Colliery
Enlisted in the 3rd East Lancashire Regiment circa 1902
To France 20/10/14 & served with 2nd East Lancashire Regiment
Took part in an attack & suffered a Gun Shot Wound in his left foot
Evacuated to Blighty & was treated at Ongar Hospital, Essex
Transferred to 1st East Lancashire Regiment
Later renumbered 375696 when he transferred to 758th Area Employment Company, Labour Corps
Finally transferred to 10th Lancashire Fusiliers (54344)
Wounded again in his left arm, knee & buttocks 17/10/18 and was transferred from Beaulencourt to Etaples on 31st Ambulance Train
With copy of his MIC, a local newspaper photocopy of his image & personal account of how he was first wound, MH106 Medical Record & Census entries etc
