No.2749 SOWAR RAJ WALI 19/LNCRS (F.H.)
The 19th Lancers (Fane's Horse) landed in France 8/11/14 as part of the 2nd (Sialkot) Cavalry Brigade, 1st Indian Cavalry Division & served on the Western Front.
This Indian Cavalry unit took part in the Battles of the Somme 1916 & Cambrai 1917. It then moved to the Middle East in 1918 & took part in the Palestinian Campaign, where it fought with distinction in the Battle of Megiddo
