1914 STAR to L-9336 PTE James Coughlan ANNAN 1/E.KENT R. Born Walworth. To France 7/9/14 & served with 1st Buffs. Wounded in WW1 but apparently continued serving with 1st East Kents until the 1930s - ON SALE
Born Walworth, London S.E. 30/9/94, the son of James & Fanny Annan
To France 7/9/14 with 1st East Kent Regiment (The Buffs)
Wounded & later served with 1/5th Buffs
Married Margery Ellen Emma Ross 26/9/24 - they had 4 children, including one in India 1930 & another in Burma 1934, so presumably he was still serving with 1st East Kents during that period
In the 1939 Register he was out of the Army & working as a Beckenham Postman
Died in Beckenham, Kent 4/8/60
With copy of his Medal Index Card, Medal Rolls, copy of his image (see Wound Stripe) & other supporting documentation
