KIA F&F 21/10/14 when Germans attacked the Battalion's trenches near Le Gheer, during the First Battle of Ypres - "We were driven back a few hundred yards where we held the enemy from 5.15am till 12.30pm, at which time we reoccupied our forward trenches"The 2nd Inniskillings lost 35 killed, 78 wounded & 41 missing in this attack
