Francis Mycroft Beeley
Born Glossop, Derbyshire 10/10/1894
Son of Samuel & Mary Beeley
He lived at Lord Street, Glossop & was educated at Glossop Secondary School
Pre-war he was a Colour Sergeant in the Cadets
Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Temporary Lieut 12/12/14
Gazetted Captain 25/3/15 & was described as "one of the youngest Captains in the Army"
To France 6/9/15 with 13th Manchester Regiment
His unit then proceeded to Salonika in October/November 1915
Dangerously wounded in Salonika & had one leg amputated below the knee in March 1917
In September 1939 he was a Bank Clerk living at 41 Elmfield Avenue, Teddington, Twickenham, Middlesex
Died Roehampton, Surrey 16/8/56
