To France 16/7/15 with 10th Lancashire Fusiliers
Returned to Blighty suffering with malaria & was admitted to Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital at Millbank 30/12/15
Discharged 17/1/16 & returned to his battalion
KIA F&F 7/7/16 during the attack on Quadrangle Trench, Contalmaison on the Somme
Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France
