Wounded in his left shoulder during an unsuccessful attack at Eaucourt l'Abbaye on the Somme 12/10/16
Returned to Blighty 17/10/16
Selected as an Officer Cadet at No.14 Inns of Court O.T.C.
Commissioned 31/10/17 & posted 1st Liverpool Regt 3/1/18
Briefly attached to 2nd Australian Tunnelling Company from 3/2/18 to 25/2/18
Then seconded to 2nd Battn, Machine Gun Corps from April 1918
Suffered with Trench Fever at Havrincourt 14/9/18
Returned to Blighty 3/10/18
Discharged 11/1/19 & was awarded the Silver War Badge
In 1939 he was an Assistant Manager of a Steel Merchants, living at 821 Borough Road, Birkenhead, Cheshire
Died 1/2/1976
