Note: On this day, 26/9/16, Mouquet Farm was finally captured by 34th Brigade, 11th (Northern) Division, in the Battle of Thiepval Ridge. The 9th Lancashire Fusiliers bombed the exits of the Germans' underground positions & also managed to reach their second objective at the west end of Zollern Trench, where German machine-gun nests had held up previous attacks.
