To Gallipoli 13/7/15 with 9th Royal Warwickshire Regiment
KIA Gallipoli 10/8/15 when Turkish soldiers attacked the 9th Warwick's positions on Koja Chemen Tepe in the early morning. The War Diary recorded 'Impossible to hold line with no supports immediately available... the trenches were enfiladed by machine gun fire & our men were mown down.'
This enemy action resulted in 4 Officers & 44 O/Rs killed plus 5 Officers & 264 O/Rs wounded or missing
Commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli
