Born East Dereham, Norfolk 9/12/1885
Served in France with "Tuxford's Dandys" - the 5th (Western Cavalry) Battn, Canadian Infantry
He took part in the Second Battle of Ypres & was present for the 24/4/15 Gas Attack in the Ypres Salient
Later suffered with Defective Action of the Heart / Shell Shock in January 1916 & returned to Blighty for treatment at Shorncliffe
