Ordained Deacon 1947 & then served in 2 curacies in Cape Town
Chaplain of St.Ninian's Cathederal, Perth 1950-52
Then received a Short Service Commission (421606) as an Army Chaplain (Church of England) 21/4/52
Served with the Royal Army Chaplains Department until he relinquished his commission 21/4/55
Granted the honorary rank of Chaplain to the Forces 4th CIass

Precentor of St.Paul's Cathederal, Dundee 1959-1963
Rector of Spridlington, Faldingworth & Toft Newton, Lincolnshire 1963

Served as a 'Cowley Father' until 1981
