To France August 1917
Was recommended for a decoration for saving his battery's guns whilst under a heavy gas & shell barrage at Kemmel 25/4/18
DIED HOME 25/2/19 of Pneumonia contracted on Active Service
Buried in St.Margarets Churchyard, Northam, North Devon
His Officers Papers exist at TNA but we have not checked them Ref: WO 339/55507
