SIGURD AYTON DICKSON
Born Shooters Hill, Woolwich, London 16/7/1883
Son of Sir John Frederick Dickson KCMG & Lady Emily Ayton Dickson Lee
Following a party in Pretoria, Dickson & 2 British Officers were charged with desecrating the grave of the Boer leader President Paul Kruger in the early hours of 18/10/07
Note: Over a century later this was vandalised & desecrated again in 2018
Prior to WW1 he was a Rubber Planter on the Sungei Renggam Estate, Malaya
Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery 20/11/15
Elected as a non-resident Fellow of the Royal Colonial Institute 8/2/16
To France 15/4/16 & served with 102nd Brigade R.F.A.
KIA F&F 1/2/17
Buried in Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Ypres
His Officers Papers exist at TNA but we have not checked them Ref: WO 339/49909
