Son of William James & Emily Pound of Jackson's Lane, Highgate & later of 21 Primrose Hill Road, Hampstead, London
Educated at Highgate School, where he matriculated in Jan 1911
Then studied in Switzerland, Germany & in France, returning to England in May 1913
Enlisted 10th (Stockbrokers') Battalion, Royal Fusiliers 21/8/14
To France 31/7/15
KIA Somme 15/7/16 during the attack on Pozieres, France
Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme

Educated at Highgate School until December 1911
To France 21/2/15 with 1/5th King's (Liverpool Regt) & 4 Days later he was commissioned 2nd Lieut, MGC 25/2/15
Admitted No.11 Casualty Clearing Station with synovitis knee 23/8/16, then via 31 Ambulance Train to 18th General Hospital
He was finally admitted to Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital at Millbank, London 5/9/16
Returned to France & served with 117th Bn. Machine Gun Corps (Inf) until KIA F&F 22/9/18
Buried in Hancourt British Cemetery, Somme, France
His Officers Papers exist (as Cecil Daveson Pound) at TNA but we have not checked them; Ref: WO 339/35189

In 1928 she lived at 9 Eton Road, Hampstead, London NW3
Formally registered as a Teacher with the Teachers Registration Council (No.75607) on 1/6/28
In the 1939 Register she was a Teacher of Music, Retired Teacher & Civil Servant
Died as a Centenarian on 27 Apr 2000 - aged 103!
