Son of Herbert Edwin Skeels & Frances Emma Skeels (nee Berridge)
Served in France with 6th Royal West Kent Regiment
Later transferred to 1st R.W.Kent Regt & then to 10th R.W.Kent Regt
Renumbered G/32221 & finally served with 53rd Royal Sussex Regiment
Discharged to the Army Reserve 31/3/20
In September 1939 he was an Isle of Ely Special Constable who worked as a Master Plumber & Decorator and lived at 3 East Park Street, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Died Chatteris 16/8/82

In named Box of Issue labelled '447 Isle of Ely CYRIL SKEELS' with 'LONG SERVICE 1947' Clasp & Silver Rosette (both loose)
Also with a uniface Belgian Franc coin & his undress Ribbon Bar
