Educated at Wimbledon College, a Jesuit Roman Catholic secondary school on Edge Hill, Wimbledon
Commissioned Temporary Second Lieutenant, 10th Lincolnshire Regt 27/10/15
Served with the 'Grimsby Chums' (10th Lincolnshire Regt) on the Western Front
Survived the 34th Division's attack near La Boisselle 1/7/16
3 Days later he was KIA on the Somme 3/7/16

Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme
Also remembered in the UK in Grimsby WW1 Roll Of Honour (WMR 21919) & on the Wandsworth Sacred Heart War Memorial (now at Digby Stuart College, Roehampton)
