George Dixon Buck
Born Rothwell, near Leeds 13/2/1898
Son of Dr Joseph Buck & Elizabeth Mary Buck (nee Mitchell)
Educated at Epsom College where he was a Prefect, Captain of cricket in 1916 & Platoon Sergeant in the Epsom College OTC. Also, by a vote of the school in 1916, he was awarded the Wakely Prize as the most popular all-round boy!
Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Field Artillery 26/2/17
To France 14/4/17
Suffered a Gun Shot Wound (slight) to his head
Returned to Blighty & was admitted to Catterick Military Hospital 6/5/18
Appears to have been educated at Leeds University (1919-) before moving to Canada
Married Alma Pulman in Vancouver 10/12/31
Died at Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada 19/1/85
