      Born Greenwich, Kent 1873

      Worked as a Telegraph Messenger before attesting 21/7/1891

      Qualified in the ‘killing, flaying & cutting up of animals’ 26/9/98

      Served in the Boer War 1901-03 & was entitled to the QSA with 4 Clasps (OFS,Trans,SA01,SA02)

      Promoted Serjeant 1/6/01

      Awarded the Army LS&GC Medal in A.O. of 1/10/10

      To France 16/8/14 with 20th Hussars & qualified for the ‘Aug-Nov 1914’ Clasp

      Appointed Sergeant-Trumpeter 14/3/15

      Admitted to 9th General Hospital, Rouen 13/11/15

      Returned to Blighty 17/11/15

      Renumbered H/47612

      Promoted T/S.Q.M.S. 21/7/19

      Discharged upon the Termination of his second period of Engagement 22/3/20
