      Andrew Charles Hart

      Born Bethnal Green, London E 1893

      Son of Harry Hart of 20 Chatesworth Road, Stratford

      To France 19/8/14 with 42nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery & qualified for the Aug-Nov 1914 Clasp

      Note: The 42nd Brigade comprised 29th, 41st & 45th Batteries RFA and the Brigade Ammunition Column, part of 3rd Division. Nicknamed 'The Iron Division', it served in the Battle of Mons, the Retreat from Mons & First Battle of Ypres 1914, the Second Battle of Ypres 1915, the Battle of the Somme 1916 & the Battle of Arras 1917

      Returned to Blighty

      DIED HOME 23/12/17 & his Pension Card shows that he Died of Wounds

      Buried in West Ham Cemetery, Forest Gate, London E7


      With 2 original dated RFA Record Office Letters forwarding the Aug-Nov 1914 Clasp to his father on 24/11/21 & then his 1914 Star on 27/6/21

      With copy of his Medal Index Card, plus SDGW & CWGC details & supporting research documentation

      Condition: Both documents folded & rather tatty; Medals on long, original silk ribbons, NEF
