Note: The 42nd Brigade comprised 29th, 41st & 45th Batteries RFA and the Brigade Ammunition Column, part of 3rd Division. Nicknamed 'The Iron Division', it served in the Battle of Mons, the Retreat from Mons & First Battle of Ypres 1914, the Second Battle of Ypres 1915, the Battle of the Somme 1916 & the Battle of Arras 1917
