Note: This unit, part of the London Mounted Brigade, then landed at Suvla Bay in early August 1915 & took part in the unsuccessful attacks on Scimitar Hill. The 'Sharpshooters' served at Gallipoli until November 1915
Pte Colman later transferred to the Machine Gun Corps & was renumbered 151838

This image came with the trio & may well depict the recipient with his sweetheart. He is wearing 4 years' Overseas Service Chevrons on his right sleeve & a black covered 'in memorium' button on his tunic, plus jodhpurs
