Later he was deemed 'inefficient' & his rank reverted to Gunner 18/7/17
KIA F&F 4/4/18 with 'C' Battery, 46th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery
Buried in Crucifix Corner Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, France
Note: His brother, 266262 Pte Alexander Clunas 6th Seaforth Highlanders (born 1898 so 25 years younger) was KIA F&F 21/3/18
