This was apparently awarded to 14863 Stanisław MARYNIAK (born 1916) - a soldier in the the legendary Polish Carpathian Lancer Regiment (block of numbers 38084-38655), part of the Polish 2nd Corps

The Monte Cassino Commemorative Cross was awarded to all soldiers of the Polish 2nd Corps who fought in the battle of Monte Cassino (January–May 1944) & also in the battles for Piedimonte and Passo Corno, Italy
Each Polish soldier who took part in the battle was awarded the Monte Cassino & a total of 48,498 crosses (officially numbered 1 to 48,498) were issued
A list of all the Monte Cassino Cross recipients is held at the Polish Institute & Sikorski Museum in London, but we have not check this.
