    Son of Stanhope & Maud O'Dwyer of 'Glencoin', Bramhall Lane, Bramhall, Cheshire

    Educated at:

    > Manchester Grammar School 1909-11

    > Sandbach Grammar School where he gained a scholarship to read Holy Orders

    > University College of North Wales, Bangor University where he was a member of the O.T.C.

    His nick-name was "Laddie"

    Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant 26/8/15 into the Royal Warwickshire Regiment

    To France 4/3/16 & served with 14th Royal Warwicks Regt '1st Birmingham Pals'

    KIA F&F 29/7/16

    Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme

    Also commemorated in the UK on:

    Note: There is speculation that he may have been killed during the 14th Royal Warwick's attack on Wood Lane, east of High Wood on 30/7/16
