Educated at Westminster School 1900-05

Qualified as a Solicitor 1911 and practiced in London, Canterbury & Margate, Kent

Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in The Kent Cyclist Battalion 4/2/14

Promoted Lieutenant, 1/1st Kent Cyclist Battalion 29/8/14

Promoted Captain 18/1/15

Attached General Staff 2nd Army Central Force from June-November 1915

The 1/1st Kent Cyclist Battalion sailed for India 8/2/16 & landed at Bombay 3/3/16

Promoted Major & served as a Staff Officer to Inspector of Volunteers in India October 1916

Deputy Assistant Adjutant General from February 1918 to November 1919

Was also entitled to a British War Medal but not the Victory Medal

In 1919 he married the Vicar's daughter, Constance Smith - daughter of Rev. Raymond Francis Bevan M.A., the Vicar of St.Lawrence-in-Thanet, Kent

In the 1939 Register he was a retired T.A.Major & Solicitor living at 3 Elm Row, Hampstead, London

Died at Hastings 1957
