1) 1914/15 TRIO & EPHEMERA


Archibald George Dunscombe, born 8/7/86

To France 21/12/15 with the Army Veterinary Corps.

Later transferred to the Royal Field Artillery.

In the 1939 National Register he was working a fishmonger & living at 84 Dundonald Road, Wimbledon, Surrey with his wife & his son (below).

With 2 original 'Army Form W.5112' which accompanied the issue of his WW1 medals.

Also 3 original Fibre I.D.Tags (one Red & 2 Green) impressed with his AVC & RGA details, as worn on a short length of khaki string.

2) DEFENCE MEDAL & EPHEMERA in OHMS Box of Issue from the Home Office, addressed to :


84 Dundonald Road,

Wimbledon SW19.

Reginald G.H.Dunscombe, born 20/8/09

In the 1939 National Register he was working as a clerk, living with his father & mother (above).

Served in WW2 as a First Aid Stretcher Bearer in Wimbledon.

With original 'D.M.7 Part A' Form confirming his successful Defence Medal claim, addressed to him & signed by the Wimbledon Town Clerk, plus the original 'Home Secretary' enclosure which accompanied the issue of his Defence Medal.
