    Born in Old Brentford, Middlesex 1876


    A pre-1908 Volunteer who transferred to the 8th Middlesex Regiment upon the formation of the new Territorial Force


    His medal was announced in Army Orders of April 1910 and was one of just 41 EviiR TFEMs awarded to this unit


    Re-enlisted 31/8/14 & was re-numbered 836


    To France 3/12/14 & served with 1st Middlesex Regiment


    Tried by Field General Court Martial for going AWOL & awarded 21 days Field Punishment No.1 on 6/1/16


    Returned to Blighty 19/3/18


    Discharged 17/2/19 & was entitled to the 1914/15 Trio
