Educated at Wimbledon College
Pre-war Journalist & Author
To France 1/1/15 with A.S.C. (Mechanical Transport)
After his younger brother Cyril was killed in early 1916 (see below) he applied for a commissioned
Commissioned & joined 7th South Staffordshire Regt. in the field as 2nd Lieutenant 8/8/16
KIA F&F 28-29/9/16 near Thiepval on the Somme

Buried in Menin Road South Military Cemetery

Married Elizabeth Emily Bussy 1912
Worked for the News of the World from 1914
Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant, Army Service Corps
To France 25/6/18 & served until 1921
Retired as the News of the Worlds Advertisement Manager in 1938
During WW2 he was living in Raynes Park, Surrey when his son, Pilot Officer Geoffrey Moir Bussy of 77th Sqn RAFVR, was KIA in a bombing raid on Brest 4/4/41 - Click Here

Wounded & returned Blighty 20/11/17 on 1st Day of the Battle of Cambrai
Discharged 12/2/18 & awarded the Silver War Badge
