Commissioned into the 9th Leicestershire Regiment 1914
Promoted Captain, 10th (Reserve) Battn, Leicestershire Regiment 1/6/15
To Mudros, attached Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regt in November 1915
Note: 4 Officers & 200 O.Rs of 1st Garrison Battn, Notts.& Derby.R. were attached to 2/10th Middlesex Regt for service at Suvla, Gallipoli in November 1915
Assistant Master Ardingley College 1916-18
Then appears to have worked with the Church Army in France from June 1918
After the war he returned to the clergy at Boston, Lincolnshire
Moved to Rock, Wadebridge, Cornwall 1937
Died Launceston, Cornwall 13/5/43
Buried in Bolventor Parish Church on Bodmin Moor, just a stone's throw from the famous (and supposedly haunted) Jamaica Inn - Click Here
