Born 28/3/1893


To Egypt 1/9/15 with 2/7th Middlesex Regt T.F.


Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant from an Officer Cadet Unit into the London Regt 18/12/17


Joined 1/4th LOND.R T.F. in the field between May & July 1918 and was also wounded for the first time during this period


Wound again near Boyelles during the Second Battle of Bapaume circa 21/8/18


In 1939 he was a Stockbroker living at Angell Road, Brixton, Lambeth, London


His Officers Papers exist at TNA as Alfred Walter Chigwell, ref: WO 374/13509 but we have not checked them



With copy of his Medal Index Card, Medal Roll & supporting documentation


Condition: Minor official correction to 'N' of surname on victory medal (only), as confirmed on his MIC. Small stain on star, otherwise toned NEF
