Richard Sebastian John Bond-Andrews, born 25/8/1885
Pre-war he was employed in the Government Educational Department in Natal and Transvaal, South Africa
He was a member of the Ladysmith (Natal) Rifle Club & served with the Electrical Engineers (Volunteers)
Commissioned from the Officer Training Corps into the Liverpool Regt8/7/15
To the Dardanelles 22/11/15 & was attached to the 1/9th Manchester Regt
Whilst serving in Egypt he suffered several bouts of anaemia & tachycardia so returned home 1/11/16
Unfit for active service, he was posted 15th Liverpool Regt in the UK
Joined 16th 'Transport Workers' Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment 15/6/17 as Lieutenant
Transferred to the Royal Air Force in 1918 as an Honorary Captain (Admin) with 29 Group
Now with 62 page Digital File of his Army Officers Papers (TNA Ref: WO 339/33078), plus copy of his Medal Index Card & supporting documentation
